what is my computer doing in the background, just churning away, taking up cpu... probably sending msgs to the space station, eh?

danica won her first indy race -- the indy japan 300 -- making her the first woman to win an indy race. oh, yeah! go danica!!

tiger is taking 6 wks off to recover from knee surgery, and here's my two problems with that: firstly, most people these days, esp athletes, take like 2 wks off after having a knee scoped, and secondly, why didn't he have this done in the wintertime so that he could play a full season of golf?

the spurs pulled out a win yesterday in double ot. as a general rule, i despise the nba, believe they should make the court bigger & the raise the baskets about a foot, but elvis & priscilla love the spurs, so there you have it.

the preds are down 3-2 to the redwings in the stanley cup playoffs. next game - today at 2pm. go preds! getting to the playoffs is an accomplishment, but getting past the first round would be even bettah.

steve mcnair retired. he had one more year on his contract w/ the ravens, and he had come to mini-camp... and then just up & retired. kinda caught everyone by surprise. in other football news, looks like pacman might be headed to dallas. whoopie.

the olympics begin on 8.8.08. that is cool. things that happen every 4 years always happen on the same year. olympics, leap year, elections. just because they happen every 4 years does not mean they have to happen on the same year.

watching the women's olympic marathon trials on nbc's website. very good coverage. the commentators know what they are talking about, and the split screen is well-used. the winner had a 5:36 mile at mile 25. sheezle. i cannot even run like 400 metres that fast. huh. the top three go to the olympics, and the 4th place finisher is the alternate. the girl in 4th was passed by the girl in 5th in like the last 100 metres. incroyable! can you imagine getting pass on the last 100 metres? or, passing someone? when the stakes are that high?

man, oh man. good stuff.
