music by mark knoffler

who knew? the music in the princess bride is by mark knoffler. if you don't know who he is or why that might be surprising, you will just have to google him b/c
i am not your servant, am i now? sheezle.

i recently received my very own copy of pb - a valingtimes day gift, a couple months after valingtimes day. i am currently running thru it for the 2nd time in a row. and, you cannot stop me - bwah-hah-hah!!

after returning the rental today, i got a ride home [they will pick you up... or, uh... drop you off...] from the enterprising young clerk. she started making small talk -- you from around here? -- you know the drill. so, turns out she is not from around here, but is going to school around here, and what did she major in? flying. that's right - flying aeroplanes. you can major in flying aeroplanes. who knew? so, why is she working at enterprise. was this her plan? no, she said, this was never in her wildest dreams in her plans. we laughed then about plans & how they develop. she still wants to fly planes, but she does not want to be a commercial pilot. she wants to be a charter pilot, and that requires more piloting hours than she has under her belt. she's working on it, but her new dream will have to wait. fascinating things, dreams.
