jen-po & the fish

jen-po was not a wealthy man, but jen-po had a small garden, and in the small garden, he had a small pond, and in the small pond was one fish. jen-po loved the fish with all his heart and went to talk to the fish every day.

jen-po would ask the fish how are you doing today? and the fish would not say anything. jen-po would ask the fish do you like your pond? and the fish would not say anything. jen-po would ask are you hungry? and still the fish was silent.

jen-po went one day to the pond to visit the fish, and the fish was gone. in the place of the fish was a bird. jen-po asked the bird what have you done with my fish? the bird said to jen-po dear, sweet jen-po... i am the fish. and the bird flew away.

jen-po wept.
