if it's thursday, it's almost friday, then it's saturday, next comes sunday, then there's monday, and it all starts over again.

two little girls -- ages 13 & 11 -- were walking home from a sleepover in oklahoma, and somebody shot them both & left them dead in a ditch. incredible how awful people are to each other. what in the world would have been a motive for this? did the girls stumble onto a drug deal? were they kidnapped? did someone simply shoot them for no reason at all? it's so bizarre - just makes you shake your head, shake your head... unbelievable. the grandparents of one of the girls were on television, and in another demonstration of the bizarre, the grandmother calmly described all these gunshot wounds on her granddaughter - at great length & in complete detail. w.t.f.?? what is the grandma doing calmly describing a gunshot wound to her little 11-yr-old granddaughter's head? it's freakish - simply freakish.

in a totally different news story, it's being reported that exxon is getting out of the retail gas sales business. wow. guess that retail gas sales biz is not where the money is, eh? wonder why? oh, yeah -- it's because we are all out of money. sheezle.

you will doubtless be glad to know that alkaline trio has a new album coming out 7.1.08 -- agony & irony. i totally adore the album crimson and like a few songs on good mourning. i don't have any of the other albums - might not even like the other albums. but, i bet i will like this new album. i mean, i don't want to listen to all their early experimental blather where their vocab is too small & they curse too much. nah... give me the well-developed intelligence & complexity of the later works.
