the kid waiting on us tonight was wearing some low hanging pants. these pants were hanging so low they almost fell off when he was putting the pizza on the next table. seriously - almost fell off. i was actually hoping they would fall off, for the humor factor, but that probably would have delayed his bringing our pizza.

so, i am reading the books of kathy reichs, a forensic anthropologist who writes about a character named temperance brennan, who is a forensic anthropologist. ms reichs bases this character loosely on her own life. there is a television show called bones based on the actual life of kathy reichs. the main character in this television show is a forensic anthropologist named temperance brennan. the character brennan is both a forensic anthropologist & a writer. she writes a series of books in which the protagonist's name is... wait for it... kathy reichs.

did you hear about the belmont stakes? big brown didn't win, and thereby win the triple crown. not only did he "not win"... he lost. came in very last place. so much for that triple crown bid, eh?
