last night at self-defense class, week two, we learned all kinds of hitting, striking, blocking, & parrying techniques, but there was one tidbit of wisdom that stood out above all else... something handy to remember in those scary situations... the one piece of rational thought that will stand between you & certain destruction at the hands of your attacker:

it only takes a second to grab a testicle.
