ace goes to the grocery

had a nice trip to the grocery store this afternoon. except for the freakin' crowd of people there. did the go-to-the-grocery alarm sound, or what? got some more graham crackers, so don't worry about that. didn't see the claxton fruit cake display this week. that does not bode well for the holiday season, if they are sold out already. hope that they simply moved it, and i just missed it. last week, the egg nog was in the cooler, and this week, it was joined by the boiled custard. mmm - boiled custard! that is a treat. if you have not had it, you have no right to deny its treatiness. mmm. mmm.

when i first get to the grocery & am getting my cart, or basket, or baskcart, or buggy, or whatev the hula you call it - i always look for one without the crunched up pieces of wax paper that indicate that the previous user was snacking while shopping. not that you cannot snack without the paper, and not that you cannot snack w/ paper and not leave it in the cart, but if you don't even take your trash out of the cart, well, that's just icky. and, so you are gross. and, i don't want your basket.

you know what they need on baskets? cup holders. they have them somewhere... i think it was in tx when i was there a couple years back... maybe that was it. a place to set your beverage while shopping. very convenient, and it's not like someone's going to run off w/ it or something. i mean, it was bolted to the cart. here's a sort of fuzzy pic of one for your sort of fuzzy enlightenment.
