the g-o-p is throwing sarah palin under the bus. just sayin'.

tomorrow i shall run 16 miles. this shall be my last long run before the marathon type event for which i am registered. most training plans recommend at least 3 runs of over 18 miles. i shall not be following these training plans. i really don't see what could possibly go wrong with my plan. plus, after i return home, i shall eat graham crackers. yay!

did i mention i finished what is mine by anne holt? well, i did. towards the end, the translation became slightly smoother, but overall, it was still awkward. the dialog was especially stilted, and the subtleties of the plot were virtually lost. really, the translation was a shame because i am fairly certain the story was good.

you know the obamas have picked out a puppy to have in the white house. barack said he might get a shelter dog - "a lot of shelter dogs are mutts, like me". really, he said that. coolcool. here's the thing about having a puppy in the white house - i bet you get to have all the fun w/ the puppy and don't have to do any of the work. someone is there to care for the dog, and you can simply play with him. nice, huh?

this weekend, vandy plays florida. good luck with that, 'dores. right. okay, so we can write that one off as a vandy loss. u-t plays wyoming, for u-t's homecoming. u-t can look for a win there, i would think. titans go to chi-town to play da bears, and that should be a win, too. you never know, though, after 8 wins in a row, there is always the possibility of a let-down. and, your opponents are really keyed up to play you. in other sports news, soccer tournament begins sunday - first round of a single-elimination tournament - a must-win situation! go green!
