the stanley cup is the most ridiculously ginormous trophy

i don't follow nhl much, but found out this morning that the preds clinched a playoff spot. sweet! not sure why the ol' stanley cup is so grande, but there you have it. ridiculously large.

in other sports, vanderbilt's super freshman point guard, keegan bell, has xfered to another school b/c of some blather about not fitting in the vandy system. sounds like he wanted more playing time, but jiminybiminy, he was a freshman and played a lot. next year, he'd be the starting point guard, and he'd be in the driver's seat as far as playing time is concerned. well, that is how it looked from the couch - i mean, ol' keegan probably knows something we don't know.

last sports note: i personally ran 3 miles yesterday at the blazing speed of 10:25/mi. w00t. tearing up the streets. yeah.
