teamwork

you may call it by this name,
or call it by that:
teamwork or coöperation.
together we stand,
by ourselves we fall flat.
together, my friend,
we're the nation.
whatever we do,
or whatever we plan,
we can't stand alone,
not the best of us.
blah blah blah blah,
blah blah blah blah -
we're only a part
of the rest of us.

this poem is quite obviously not emblazoned on my memory as i had expected. fascinating.
