why is there a small, wire, magnetic dalmation jammed between the cushions of my couch?

getting back into the post-holiday groove, i decided to do a little cross-training warmup today before my usual lunchtime run. i chose the activity seated-pee-tie. for those unfamiliar with this stellar warmup - a quick explanation: one laces up ones trainers whilst taking the pre-run weewee. some may have sufficient hamstring flexibility and... er... "audacity" to perform the standing-pee-tie, but i do not.

the goal of this simple warmup is to lace ones trainers before completing ones pee. needless to say, i am out of shape after the recent feast-fest; ergo - could not attain this goal. the pee was long since gone before the lacing was complete.

among the possibilities for bettering my lace-to-pee ratio are:

1. elastic laces - this seems like cheating, somehow.
#B - holding pee longer before beginning activity - this is risky.
iii) practicing more.

who can advise me here? i cherish your wisdom.
