currently: the alienist - caleb carr

i seem to have somehow selected 2 books in a row that are about the serial murder & occupation of medical examiner. reichs' book is set in modern times and is thrilling. carr's book is set in like early 1900's and is a slow read - pretentious & tedious - while being just interesting enough not to put down completely. very annoying.
