say hey wednesday

some of you will recall the say hey program from the past. here's how it works:

most folks greet each other in the hallways, at the printer, in the restroom, at a meeting...
hey.
hey.
how you doing?
good, and you?

a particular co-worker of me avoids eye contact and refuses to say hey, pretending the hey's are not for her. so, now she gets called out specifically by name. there is no mistaking that the hey is for her. she can't hide from the hey. typical exchange:
hey, NAME.
hey.
how you doing?

well, that's it. it's working. i call her out by name and get a response hey, but no information on how she's doing. that's fine, b/c i don't really give a hula how she's doing, but by jiminy, she's gonna say hey to me.
