
do not ever imagine that you have a grip on life in general or a grip on your own measley existence or even the
chance to have a grip. it is impossible to get a grip on something that has no handles. there's no
gripping life. you can't hold it, look at it, examine it. you can take pieces, grab pieces, remove them from the stream, the context... and hold onto them. these aren't handles - they are unattached rings, circling back on only themselves.
when you grab the brass ring and make it your own... what's changed more - you or the ring?
